趋化因子(chemokines)也称趋化激素、趋化素或化学激素,是一类分子量仅8~10 kD的小分子细胞因子家族,因其对白细胞等具有定向趋化作用而得名。趋化因子的结构特征是具有4个保守的半胱氨酸残基位点,从而保证其稳定的三级结构。根据其 N 末端四个半胱氨酸序列,它们通常被分为 CXC、CC、CX3C和C四个亚家族。趋化因子通过结合G蛋白偶连跨膜受体进行信号转导。趋化因子是一种多功能介质,主要负责将白细胞募集到炎症组织。趋化因子信号网络由约50个分泌配体和20个GPCR组成。研究表明,这一复杂的系统参与了多种生理过程,包括在免疫反应中调节细胞迁移。

CC 趋化因子,是一类具有低分子量 (8-15 kDa) 的可溶性蛋白质,具有 N 末端 CC 结构域,最初被确定为炎症过程的介质和白细胞运输的调节剂。所有趋化因子都具有相同的整体结构:至少三个 β 折叠片、C 末端结构域中的一个 α 螺旋以及连接保守半胱氨酸残基的二硫键。根据前两个 N 末端半胱氨酸残基在其氨基酸序列中的排列,趋化因子可以分为四个家族:CXC(或 α)家族、CC(或 β)家族、CX3C(或 δ)家族,以及 C(或γ)家族。大多数趋化因子通过激活 G 蛋白偶联七次跨膜受体 (GPCR) 发挥其生物学作用。趋化因子是一类可溶性细胞因子,可作为化学引诱剂来引导细胞(尤其是免疫细胞)的迁移,也参与细胞增殖、分化和存活,与多种人类疾病相关,包括慢性炎症、免疫功能障碍、癌症和转移等
